For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

1 Cor. 2:2

Prepare for Jesus

Mark 1:1-5
John Prepares for Jesus
1 This is the beginning of the Good News about Jesus Christ, the Son of God, 2 as the prophet Isaiah wrote:
"I will send my messenger ahead of you,
who will prepare your way." — (Malachi 3:1)
3 "This is a voice of one
who calls out in the desert:
'Prepare the way for the Lord.
Make the road straight for him.' " —( Isaiah 40:3)
4 John was baptizing people in the desert and preaching a baptism of changed hearts and lives for the forgiveness of sins.5 All the people from Judea and Jerusalem were going out to him. They confessed their sins and were baptized by him in the Jordan River.

John was to prepare the hearts of the people (Israel) for their Messiah. For hundreds of years the Israelites prayed for the coming of the Messiah and He was finally coming. How tragic that the nation failed to accept Him.

Much like today. Jesus is coming back but He is not accepted by many. Not only is He not accepted, but where are the messengers?

Who is preaching repentance?

Who is preparing the way?

We need to spread The Word.

Mark 16:15

Jesus said to His followers, “Go everywhere in the world, and preach The Gospel to every creature”.

John 14:6

Jesus answered, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.

Jesus is the only way to Heaven.
And He is coming back soon!
We need to prepare the hearts of the people!
